Franceska first discovered PLAN in 2010 when she and her husband were researching what the future held for their son with disabilities. For two years, she occupied a variety of roles including Community Connector, RDSP Presenter, Family Talks Moderator and Learning Coordinator. She was fortunate enough to work on other projects close to her heart including an online Transition Orientation (for youth with disabilities transitioning into adulthood) and a booklet for Employment Options for People with Disabilities and their Families. She is also actively involved in the coordination of the BC Summer Institute for Inclusive Education at UBC. She has a degree in mathematics and a background in project management and although she is originally from Quebec, she is happy to now live in beautiful BC with her husband, son and daughter. She is thrilled to be back at PLAN since August of 2015 in the new Family Liaison position doing what she loves- connecting with families and lending a voice to continually improve and enrich the lives of people with disabilities and that of their families.
