More PLAN families to carry the torch!

Al Etmanski has already been announced as a Paralympics torch bearer, and now we are so excited to announce three more PLAN families have been selected to run in the torch relay.

Kathy Bromley, mother of Shannon, says, "It is so neat to see how excited Shannon’s peers have been about this and it shows how much they care. And within our family, we are all clamoring to be the one who gets to run beside her!"

“I am so proud of Dan" says Nancy Ford, "this really will be a highlight and lasting memory in his life."

Vickie Mooney is the third torch bearer.  PLAN invites everyone in the community to come out, cheer and be a part of the celebration of that day.

Prime Minister Stephen Harper hosted by PLAN

On October 29, Prime Minister Stephen Harper accepted a Lifetime Membership to PLAN on behalf of the Government of Canada. He was joined by Minister of State for Democratic Reform, Steven Fletcher, and Rick Hansen, President and CEO of the Rick Hansen Foundation. The event was part of ongoing efforts to raise awareness of the RDSP. To see video of the event, click here.
