Health and Wellbeing Conference

“It was awesome to present at today’s conference. I love sharing ideas with people to understand more about networks and planning. I felt appreciated and an honour to educate others. I especially liked meeting our moderator and PhD student Kayla. We offered to help however we can. It felt Goode!” Barb Goode

This morning, Barb and Meaghen presented at the Canadian Health and Wellbeing in Development Disabilities Conference. This is a Canadian wide conference between UBC and UofT, we were the only presentation that wasn’t health oriented. Barb presented on how her network network helps her with these incredible areas of a Goode life: loving family and friends, ability to contribute unique gifts, participating in decision making, a place to call home, and financial stability. Meaghen added bits about PLAN’s herstory, networks and roles of connectors/mentors. We received great questions about roles, support ideas, and family leadership.
