Ministry Update on the Disability White Paper Community Consultation

Happy New Year!

We are now reaching the end of Week Five of the Disability White Paper Consultation. Almost 6,200 people have visited the website with almost 200 comments posted online or submitted via the other avenues available (i.e., mail, email, telephone, Twitter, ASL video).

Registrations are going well for the 19 in-person community consultations but we still have lots of room at all of the meetings, which kick off on January 20th. Here is a list of the first two weeks of in-person consultations:

Courtenay – January 20

Prince George – January 21 (evening) and 22 (daytime)

Quesnel – January 22

Vancouver – January 28

West Vancouver – January 29

Surrey – January 30 (morning and afternoon sessions)

Please share this information with your friends, family, colleagues and community members. We do not want an empty seat in any of the meetings! More information about the sessions and links to register are available athttp://engage.gov.bc.ca/disabilitywhitepaper/about/community-consultation.

Regards,
