On January 1st and 2nd the Daly family (Carmen, Sean and Frank) and some friends went to the Manning Park Resort and stayed overnight two nights in a cabin. This was a big step for Frank as he hadn’t been out of the Vancouver area for 18 years and he overcame his fear of staying overnight away from Vancouver.
Frank enjoyed the warm heated pool and sauna and hot tubs. Also, we did a little snowshoeing despite Frank’s broken (healing) foot. On January 2nd we had a beautiful snowfall that cloaked the trees in the whole Park. All in all it was a very worthwhile trip and maybe will help Frank to start to travel in 2014.
