Grace truly enjoys her art and applies herself with intensity and gusto. She keeps a birthday calendar and makes her numerous aunts, uncles and friends all hand-made birthday cards. She also uses Christmas, Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s day, and Easter to make and send cards, and keeps her family supplied with beautiful occasional cards that she leaves blank. Some of her paintings have been sold, and a winter scene was used for the official L.A.C.L (Langley Association for Community Living) Christmas card last year.
Yes, I am proud of her, but mostly happy that she has this wonderful avenue of self expression. Grace is grateful to all the wonderful people who recognized her talent, and helped her develop it along the way, over many years.
Float Plane: Grace and her mom took a float plane ride in Juneau, Alaska. They took pictures and Grace recreated them on canvas when they returned. The likeness is quite something.
