International Women’s Day is an opportunity to reflect on the many ways that women and girls have transformed our communities. Particularly in our Family Movement, women with disabilities, and their mothers and sisters have been some of the strongest advocates for inclusion in schools, workplaces and the broader community.
And as we celebrate today, let’s also be reminded that we must keep working to break down barriers that limit or deny the important contributions women and girls have to make. Together, we can ensure the voices of every citizen are recognized and respected.
