PLAN Family Network

The PLAN Family Network is an excellent starting point for families who are thinking about what it means to have a good life, and ways that they can effectively plan for the future. The Family Network operates on a non-membership basis and is a way for families to come together, engage in conversations, learn from one another, and provide mutual support.

Each month, there is an online facilitated gathering where families can share information and foster connections with other families. As part of the Family Network, families also have the opportunity to participate in an annual future planning consultation and gain access to additional planning and advocacy support.

This month Farzana shared information about a National program called Access 2. Did you know that Easter Seals sponsors the Access 2 Card program that has helped make entertainment, cultural and recreational venues more accessible to over 120,000 Canadians since it started in 2004?

This award-winning program allows people with disabilities to access and enjoy more than 500 partner venues across the country with their support person while paying only for their own admission!
