Celebrating the Life of Todd Oseki

Dear Friends and Families,

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news that our dear friend and PLAN member, Todd Oseki passed away last evening at the hospice in Richmond.

For those who may not have had the pleasure of knowing him, Todd was a cherished friend and a vibrant member of his family and community. He brought joy to those around him with his keen sense of humor and his passionate love for music. You can listen to some of his musical contributions through his SoundCloud channel here: Todd’s Music.

Todd’s life was a testament to the power of friendship and family. He was surrounded by his lifelong friends, fellow musicians, and a loving extended family and network. His life was full of love, rock music, hockey, cherished traditions, and numerous celebrations.

Attached are a few photos that capture some beautiful moments with his incredible family and friends, reflecting the full and loving life he led.

During this time of profound loss, our thoughts are with his parents Glory, and Gary, as well as his sister and brother in law, Lana, Corey and his dear nieces as well as the extended family and close network. I know we are all here to support them in any way we can, and we will continue to carry Todd’s memory in our hearts. If you would like to send a note or a card to Todd’s family and need their contact details, please reach out to me, or to Ragne Reid.

We will keep you updated on anything that may be planned to honour Todd’s memory.

Thank you all for the support and compassion you show one another every day. It is in times like these that we are reminded of the strength and warmth of our PLAN community. Please feel free to contact me if you need someone to talk to or if there is anything else we can assist with during this time.

Todd’s family is graciously suggesting that in lieu of flowers, folks can make a donation to PLAN in Todd’s honour.  If you would like to do this, all funds will be used to ensure that all people with disabilities can experience the love and support of nearby friends and family and live in good life in their community,  Donations can be made online at www.plan.ca/donate or by mailing a cheque to 101-1001 West Broadway, Vancouver, BC V6H4E4.

With deepest sympathy,

Rebecca
