At PLAN, supporting families through the journey of grief and bereavement has always been central to our work. Founded by aging parents, we are committed to helping families prepare for transitions, build strong networks, and navigate loss with resilience and connection.
Today we are honoured to be sharing our insights at the 2024 Grief, Bereavement, and Mental Health Summit hosted by BC Hospice Palliative Care.
Using the power of storytelling, we will illustrate how our core principles—Loving Friends and Family, Celebrating Contributions, A Place to Call Home, Supported Decision-Making, and Financial Stability—help families approach grief in a prepared and connected way, turning loss into a time of reflection, healing, and love.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Meaghen Taylor-Reid, Sophie Yendole, Carolyn Main, and Diane Finegood for their leadership and contributions in preparing this presentation and for their ongoing dedication to supporting families.
Grief is universal, but through shared experiences, strong networks, and thoughtful preparation, it becomes a journey of remembrance and community. We look forward to sharing about PLAN’s perspective and critical work at this important event.
