It was my distinct pleasure and honour to attend PLAN Edmonton’s 20 year anniversary celebrations in early November!
Shefali Khoja (PLAN’s President of the Board of Directors) and Jamie Gore (PLAN’s Network Co-ordinator) along with their Board and staff team, put together a fun celebration at Peter Lougheed Hall in Edmonton. The venue was perfect with a huge deck that looks over the North Saskatchewan River and the downtown area.
People enjoyed a short presentation from some PLAN members who talked eloquently about their lives and the important role that PLAN has played. The room was alive with conversation, laughter and connection.
The phrase I heard many times was “I haven’t seen you in so long! Let’s get together again soon!”
Both Sofali and Jamie took some time to talk about the history of the organization and mentioned the contributions that families have made over the 20 years. Special thanks to Al Etmanski and Vickie Cammack were made as she talked about how families are the driving force in the lives of their loved ones and the Community.
We enjoyed some finger food, music and many rich conversations about life in Edmonton and the importance of connections and friendships in the lives of all its citizens.
Congratulations PLAN Edmonton! Here’s to many more years of service, celebration and connection!
