Families and community builders working together.

Geri Briggs

Geri has worked with people with various abilities for over 30 years; as an Executive Director of a therapeutic leisure program for adults with physical disabilities and currently with a lower mainland municipality in the areas of inclusion, diversity, and community connectedness. She is also a sessional instructor and practicum supervisor in Douglas College’s Therapeutic Recreation program.

Geri joined the PLAN Board to broaden her knowledge of issues that affect people with disabilities participating in community recreation and how to increase access. “I am looking forward to working and learning from PLAN about how we can make our communities more accessible and inclusive. Hopefully, I can share my knowledge and give back in some way”.
