Claire began her journey with PLAN as a Douglas College practicum student and is now returning as PLAN’s Community Leader.
As the Community Leader Claire will be closely involved in all aspects of PLAN and able to connect you with the support, information, referrals and flexible responsive solutions that you may need.
Claire comes to PLAN with a BA in Communication Design, a Diploma in Disability and Community Studies, as well as extensive experience with parenting two children with Disabilities and living in Housing Co-operatives.
Claire’s ability to create connections, share information, listen deeply, as well as her profound sense of fairness began early.
As a child Claire easily connected with her family, her peers, the elderly, even the lonely toucan for sale in the pet store; she always took the time to stop talk and share information.
Today as an advocating parent, as a Housing Co-operative member, and as PLAN’s Community Leader Claire’s compassionate systems thinking combines Design and Disability advocacy to spread the joy of uniqueness while building strong inclusive and connected communities.
