Julia Ansbacher

Advisor

Julia is passionate about advocacy and improving life for people with diverse abilities.  She is an excellent public speaker and is able to share knowledge and insight from the perspective of a woman living with a rare disease and other challenging conditions.

As a PLAN member for several years, Julia helps to plan and host events. She also works as an Advisor to PLAN and is currently involved in several research projects. This includes sharing her own ideas, collecting information and stories from others, and working to create more inclusion and diversity in our communities.

Julia has a rare disease called NKH.  She was diagnosed at age 33 but had been living with it since birth. She lives in New Westminster with her partner, and their very loved, very cute, little fur baby, Rocky!

Julia loves to spend time at the local dog park, and sometimes at her parent’s cabin on Gambier.
