Meaghen Taylor-Reid

Director of Planning and Advocacy

Meaghen has long admired and championed PLAN’s work. A family member herself, she’s thrilled to be PLAN’s Director of Planning and Advocacy. Having started her career in program design and fund development non-profit work in 2001, Meaghen’s most recently spent the past six years as a navigator supporting planning with youth, families and partners in Burnaby and New Westminster. Her best moments with people and teams are during times of dreaming that include connection, leadership and love.

Additional connections in Meaghen’s career include:
-Alberta Future Leaders, Bigstone Band, Youth Worker
-ASSIST Community Settlement Services Edmonton, Coordinator
-Big Brothers Big Sisters of Edmonton and Area, Vancouver (Fund Development and Canadian Mental Health DeWitt Project)
-Community Living BC, Facilitator, Employment Coordinator and Policy Analyst (aging portfolio)

-Asset Based Planning, Appreciative Inquiry, Mediation and Trauma Informed Practice Trainings

Meaghen and her family live on the unceded territory of the Qayqayt peoples in New Westminster, BC where she enjoys kayaking, porch chats and fiddling. She looks forward to learning and journeying together.
