Family Network

July 16 @ 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm PDT

Dear PLAN Family Network,

Families who have experienced similar challenges are the best resources for one another – that’s why the PLAN Family Network hosts monthly family conversations! During online Zoom gatherings facilitated by Shelley Nessman and Claire Inkster, families come together to engage in conversations, learn from one another, and provide mutual support as they discuss matters related to their lives and future planning.

Please accept this invitation to join the PLAN Family Network Zoom call next week on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, for a presentation and family conversation focused on “Navigating Systems and Collaborative Practice” with Meaghen Taylor-Reid and Monique Nelson.

We understand everyone’s time is valuable and that learning styles vary greatly. To maximize your time and learning we plan on following this call outline:

6:30 to 6:45 pm

  • Land Acknowledgment

  • Welcome and check-in

6:45 to 7:30 pm

  • Presentation on Navigating Systems and Collaborative Practice

7:30 pm to 8 pm

  • Group conversation, questions, ideas

For the July Family Network conversation, we are thrilled that Meaghen Taylor-Ried, Director of Planning and Advocacy at PLAN, and family member Monique Nelson, will share a presentation on how collaborative practice can support increased services within and between services and supports. Get ready to hear about legislation, policy, stories, tips, and tricks.

Monique and Meaghen are passionate about mentoring those involved in systems navigation and advocacy on how collaborative practice can ensure choice and opportunity.

Meaghen Taylor-Ried is a PLAN team member and a family member with over 15 years of inter-ministerial collaborative practice-focused work with Community Living BC (CLBC), the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD), and the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR). Monique is a passionate mom, community builder, and seeker of places where radical hospitality abounds! Monique is the Director of Community Engagement at PosAbilities Community Association of BC.

To learn more about Meaghen, please visit the PLAN website, and to learn more about Monique, please visit the PosAbilities website.

Following the presentation, please bring your questions and ideas for a conversation on systems navigation and collaborative practices.

We kindly ask you to send an RSVP to Claire Inkster at hello(at)plan.ca
